Ghana Society
of Central New York


Established in 1985 as a not-for-profit organization, Ghana Society of Central New York (GSCNY) is dedicated to mobilizing members of the community for positive change in Central New York, Ghana and the rest of Africa. Membership is open to any community member who subscribes to the Society’s vision, goals and objectives.

Projects

Projects so far undertaken by GSCNY include:

- $10,000 Pan-African Endowed Scholarship at Onondaga Community College for outstanding and needy students.
- Art & Craft project funded by CNY Community Foundation
- Financial support for Nandom Eye Clinic in Northern Ghana
- Financial support for Korle Bu Cardiothoracic Center in Ghana
- Financial support for Families of Victims of Stadium Disaster in Ghana
- Financial support for Rescue Mission in Syracuse
